Salvador Campos, 93, September 20, 2021. Originated from South Chicago, was a lifetime resident of the South Side of Chicago - Canaryville neighborhood. Beloved husband of the late Genevieve nee Reyez; loving father of Ruben (late Lorelei) Campos and Christine Campos (late Allen Havelka); cherished and honored grandfather of Dino Campos (Vanessa Arroyo), Salina Mendoza, Lisa Campos (Jaime Guzman), Alyanna Havelka, and Salvador Campos-Havelka and great-grandfather of Cezanni, Gustavo Jr., and Gianna; dearest brother of the Late Maria Campos, Genevieve (Ricardo) Cao-Romero, the Late Jesus De Jose Campos; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Jose De Jesus Campos and Rosario (nee Rosales) Castillo.

Salvador was very proud and honored to serve his country as a Private first Class in the United States Army Signal Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the Canaryville Veterans Association, CVRA, A.S.I.D (American Society of Interior Designers), Federation of Musicians and the trumpet player of Los Hermanos Lopez Latino Band.

Services at McINERNEY CENTRAL CHAPEL, 4635 S. Wallace St., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Thursday, September 30, 2021, 9:15 a.m., at chapel, to St. Gabriel Church, 600 W. 45th St., Chicago. For Catholic Burial Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
