Age 79, lifelong resident of Chicago-Canaryville neighborhood, passed away on March 24, 2021. Beloved wife of the late James Ryan, CFD Engineer; Loving mother of the late Kim (Fiancé Bill O'Hara), Jeanne Ryan, and Lisa (Jim) Collins; Treasured grandmother of Sean (Tyler) Ryan, Jimmy Collins, Casey Collins, and Shannon Collins; Cherished sister of John (Nancy) Ryan, Jean (Ray, CFD) Ellitch, Patrick (Shirley) Ryan, Terry (Tim, CPD) Lambert; Fond sister-in-law of Joan Trentz, Rose Maher, and Bern Ryan; also survived by a host of numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Helen Ryan (McPhillips).

Peggy was immensely proud of her Irish heritage. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Canaryville. She was an avid Chicago White Sox and Blackhawks fan, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Peggy was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Services at McINERNEY CENTRAL CHAPEL, 4635 S. Wallace St., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Saturday, March 27, 2021, from 9 a.m. until time of chapel prayers at 11:15am to St. Gabriel Church, 600 W. 45th St., Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 Noon. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.

For those attending services, PLEASE NOTE THAT COVID19 RESTRICTIONS WILL BE OBSERVEDB MAXIMUM GATHERING, 50 PEOPLE AT A TIME AT McINERNEY'S, 140 PEOPLE AT CHURCH, WITH MASKS REQUIRED.
