Harry Rybicki, 94, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 11. The youngest child of Francis and Katherine Rybicki, Harry was born on October 28, 1922 in Chicago. Preceded in death by seven siblings, Harry reunites in celebration with brothers Henry, Edward, Walter, and Bruno; and sisters Jean, Lillian and Irene. Harry enlisted in the Army in 1944, serving in WW II as a cook. While stationed in Munich, he met and married the love of his life Maria Eder. His deep love for Maria never faded, even after her death in 1965. Big hearted, gregarious, and kind to all, Harry enjoyed life, frequenting the OTB well into his nineties. Loving father of daughters Linda Nichols, Marie (Jim) Till, Elaine (Bill) Bonney; grandchildren Renee "Bonnie" (Wally) Chaney, Audrey (Brian) Carl, Kirsten and Vincent Jones, and Leslie Till; great-grandchildren Tiffany (Kyle) Humphreys and Nicole Chaney; Step-grandchildren Brooke, Allison, Matthew and Michael Kleiner. Visitation Tuesday, August 15 from 4 - 8 pm at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago. Funeral services Wednesday beginning with prayers at the funeral home at 10:30 am then proceeding to St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles for graveside services.
